Over 500 Silk Screen Designs Available

It seems I can’t stop digging up fun and unusual designs to turn into silk screens.  I find I have a thrill for the hunt. This means I am gearing up for another sampler sale which will be held on my Facebook business page this time. I anticipate at least 50 new designs and only the most liked will make it into my Etsy shop, but all will be found for sale on my Facebook business page.  Check this album for all the available designs. Be sure to check my Facebook page or here on my blog for updates on the date and time of the Sampler Sale Event.

Here are some images of what new designs to expect in the Sampler Sale. I’ve gotten requests fro smaller designs that would be a better fit for earrings and beads. So hopefully I have hit the mark with some of these designs. 🙂 Once I test them all for usability I will announce the Sampler Sale.

Testing a New Stamp Design Idea

I was asked some time ago about stamps with a positive and negative of the same image. One side will stamp as normal, but the other side when used with polymer clay (or any clay) with result in a raised embossed image. I have been searching for interesting designs and patterns to use and I have a few designs ready to test. Here are some of the new Duo Designs I am planning on adding to the clear stamp line I sell in my Etsy Shop .

Free Tutorial Alert: Blue Stitched Flower Cane

stitched flower cane

Kael Mijoy recently added this wonderful flower cane tutorial to her blog. I am a visual learner (and cane challenged LOL) so I really appreciate the easy to follow instructions and lots of pictures. 🙂 I may even give it a try.

Freely Sharing Ideas

A list of recent free tutorials from the blogs I read. Lot’s of great ideas here. 🙂

Carolyn shows us how to turn a large tube bead into a Fan Pull And her tips on texture for those tube beads. Carolyn also has a good idea for making your own texture plates.

Marie Segal did a series of cane tutorials on how to make African Trade Beads out of polymer clay.

Here are the following parts 🙂

Zuda Gay has a couple nice floral tutorials on her blog.

I used Google translator on this French blog, but you know how accurate that is LOL It a tutorial on how to a hollow bead make hollow beads using what I believe is a cotton ball bead covered with clay, baked, then drilled and de-cottoned. *G* Here is a picture of her finished bead used in a necklace.

Cristalline always has wonderful tutorials 🙂 This watermelon cane is no exception.

Here is a whole list of tutorial on her blog.

Another French blogger that always seems to have something fun to learn on her blog is Parole de Pate. This month it’s Extruded Whirlwinds, Imitation Mother of Pearl, and a Caged Bead

And yet another French blog with a fun Faux Knit design.

Kim Detmers’ Tutorial Or As I Call It…. A Pic-Torial :)

I saw this beautiful necklace in Kim’s Etsy Shop and just fell in love.

Then I stumbles on her pic-torial on how she made the necklace !!!

Follow this link to her Photobucket Album to see the tutorial in pictures.

New Clear Stamp Designs Are Finished

I spent a great deal of the day finishing the new clear stamp designs and testing them to make sure they worked. I create the stamps with Mokume Gane in mind, but they are just like the clear stamps you buy retail and can be inked up the same way.

Here is a sampling of the new designs:

I made a web page so anyone can see all the designs, new and old, in one place. http://www.tonjastreasures.com/stamps/clearstamps.htm

Haven’t gotten them listed anywhere for sale yet, but if you wish to make a purchase email me at tonja@tonjastreasures.com and I can send a PayPal invoice.
