Fairy Sculptures by Linda Griego

I know we have all seen a lot of amazing fantasy sculptures over the years, but I just had to share this artist with you all. A link to her Ebay bio was shared at the PCC Forum and I hesitated to click on it. Thankfully my curiosity got the better of me. Her name is Linda Griego, her shop is called Tattered Fairies and I am a huge fan now. 🙂

Take a look at more of her work in this online gallery.

Fairies and Flowers and Bugs … Oh My

What can I say about Kim Detmers. First I’d have to mention that she has quite an imagination. Check out her Fairy Portals. They are adorable !

I would also have to say that she has a nice eye for design. This pair of earrings is beautiful.

And just take a gander at this necklace Kim posted on her blog. I so want it 🙂

I am terrified of snakes, but I’d actually allow this one in my house.

Oh oh !! You have to see this dragonfly. It’s gorgeous.

Check out her Etsy Shop and Blog fro more.

Fantasy Sculptors I Admire

I’ve been reading fantasy books for many years. I love the damsel in distress being rescued, the knight slaying the dragon to save the village, and the wizard casting a powerful spell to defeat the evil king. When I see beautiful sculptures of a fantasy creature or figure it truly gives me joy and fills my head with all these wonderful images I can reflect upon as I read.

If you Google the words “polymer clay fantasy sculpture” you will get thousands of hits. I have narrowed it down to handful of my favorite artists for you viewing pleasure. 🙂

Flickr Finds For April

I can spend all day wandering around Flickr. There is an abundance of talented polymer clay artists that use the site to store their pictures. I think each month I’ll have to show 6 random artists I find interesting. Hope you do too, because here are the first 6 🙂

Need A Smile?

I can’t sculpt my way out of a wet paper bag, so when I see something like “Roller Derby Fairy” it makes me appreciate it even more. There is no way you can help but smile when you see this sculpture by Enchanted Whimsies.
