Moving Away From Etsy

On June 30th I will be removing my silk screen inventory from Etsy and moving to a group I created on Facebook . Etsy has changed too much over the past few years and no longer fully supports Handmade as was promised all those years ago. Very sad, but I need to do what is best for my business. Please follow me to Facebook and join the group 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/groups/silkscreens4sale/ I have many new designs available. Something for everyone 🙂

Just a few examples of what’s new.

Had a Little Contest on Facebook

I needed help choosing some new texture stamp designs, so I challenged my readers to choose for me. Here are the designs and winners ! A random drawing was done for a free stamp.  The drawing for that free stamp was won by Patricia Roberts-Thompson, who has promised us pictures of what she makes with her stamp. 🙂

Free Tutorials You Just Have To Try !

First on my list was Bettina Welker’s cane she calls “Pixelated Retro Blend Cane”. It’s a twist on the extruded retro “Klimt” cane that has become so popular. Here is what I made using her tutorial.

Next I want to try Marie Davis’ border cane

The next is a fun, funky bracelet and I believe was written by Anna Anpilogova. It’s in Russian ) I think) but the pictures say it all 🙂

I use this tutorial by Valerie Wallace to make tile beads a few years ago. It sure helps keep the bead holes even!

I recently did a variation on this tutorial to make a quick and easy pendant. The tutorial will soon be on the Polymer Clay Central website.

A great faux bone or ivory tutorial written my Desiree McCrorey

This is a really cute way to make faux denim. It’s also in Russian ( I think LOL) But he pictures are great.

Yep, another one I can’t read. Good thing the pictures tell me what I need to know to make this fabulous extruded bracelet.

It’s a Russian invasion !!! Just kidding 🙂 But these gals are so talented. Just saying 🙂 Here is an amazing Poppy cane

Last but not least, I love this use of scrap clay to make a Magic Swirl Cane

If you want to see more great polymer clay tutorial both free and for sale join us over at the Facebook Group “Just Polymer Clay Tutorials”.

That’s One Talented Kid ! Meet Isabelle

Just had the pleasure of seeing the cutest clay work from a 10 year old girl named Isabelle. Such talent young lady !

Isabelle makes Glowbies. They are just as it sounds. Adorable, miniature figures all round and glowing. They have themes like pirates, beach goers, construction workers and royalty.  I think I may have to get me a set of the pirates. Just too cute.  🙂

You can follow Isabelle on her Facebook page (which is wisely monitored by mom & dad) or buy yourself a Glowbie or 2 in her Etsy Shop. But hands of the Pirates 😉
