Over 500 Silk Screen Designs Available

It seems I can’t stop digging up fun and unusual designs to turn into silk screens.  I find I have a thrill for the hunt. This means I am gearing up for another sampler sale which will be held on my Facebook business page this time. I anticipate at least 50 new designs and only the most liked will make it into my Etsy shop, but all will be found for sale on my Facebook business page.  Check this album for all the available designs. Be sure to check my Facebook page or here on my blog for updates on the date and time of the Sampler Sale Event.

Here are some images of what new designs to expect in the Sampler Sale. I’ve gotten requests fro smaller designs that would be a better fit for earrings and beads. So hopefully I have hit the mark with some of these designs. 🙂 Once I test them all for usability I will announce the Sampler Sale.

Friday’s Featured Artist: Sonya’s Polymer Creations

This weeks featured polymer clay artist is Sonya’s Polymer Creations and she has quite the flair for organic design, which I especially like when it comes to jewelry. For example, this first piece named Cleopatra’s Bubblebath is so simple, yet it has such depth. It makes me think of sea urchins.

 

This next piece is called Driftwood. Love the connections.

I especially like this pair of earrings  called Winter Mood. The detail is incredible.

Smoosher Challenge – Black & White

Smooshers Featured Artist: Gaia Copia

I am proud to present Emily of Gaia Copia. 🙂

Her work is so jewelry unique. I guess you would put it in the mixed media category. I love that she uses the hammered, textured copper and fancy wire wrap in conjunction with the polymer clay. To me it has an funky-organic-medieval feel and I LOVE it !!!!

People using my stamps in their art :)

I just wanted to share a few pictures of some beautiful pieces of jewelry where the artist has used one of my clear stamps as texture. I feel like a proud parent LOL

First is my pal Janie in Alabama. She runs a shop called Life Art Designs over at Etsy. She says is getting ready for an arts and crafts show on Dauphin island on April 16th. If you are in the area you should drop by and take a look at her fabulous work. Janie has combines polymer clay with fine silver clay (.999% silver) to make this gorgeous piece using my Asian Script clear stamp.

The next person is one of my faithful Etsy shoppers 🙂 Her shop is call Mindfulmatters. She used my ever popular Vintage Circuit Board clear stamp to create this wonderful pendant.

She also made this intricate barrette using my Runes clear stamp.

Wandie Ortiz has a shop called Bijoux Hibou at Etsy and she used my Branches clear stamp to make this very colorful pendant, which I just love, that has a glazed ceramic look.

Here we have Kristen from Canada. Another of my Etsy buyers. (Thanks you Etsy) Her Etsy shop is called Wasabeads. Kristen used my Vintage Circuit Board clear stamp to make this great pendant and earring set.

You can find over 70 clear stamps currently listed in my Artfire and Etsy shops. Please drop by and take a look. 🙂 I am positive you will find them interesting and unique. I design my stamps with polymer clay in mind, but they can be used on a multitude of surfaces. If you can stamp on it, they will work 🙂

Happy New Year, Resolutions and Thoughts

Happy New Year !!!!

I can not believe it’s 2011 already. Where the heck did 2010 go? It was pretty good to me and I’ll miss it. 🙂 My clear stamp business has become a smashing success. At least by my standards. It keeps me busy and fills my PayPal account with money to resupply my polymer clay habit.

I also discovered a new passion for covering little colored glass balls with cane slices and calling them Christmas ornaments. 🙂 I drove to the city this morning and hit the Michael’s clearance sale. (That 25% off entire purchase coupon was handy) Came back with a dozen boxes of those little glass ball in assorted yummy colors. I’ve already decided our tree next Christmas will be hot pink, white and lime green. Much to my husbands dismay. LOL Guess I better start stocking up on canes now (or learning to make my own) so I can decorate said new ornaments. If I start tomorrow I may be done in 357 days.

And for those of you who have asked, I will be selling the ornaments again next year. They were a huge hit with the recipients this year so I have a good feeling they will sell like hotcakes next year, too. 🙂

Resolutions

#1 I have decided I need to stop letting all the little things stress me out. I have anxiety issues already and if I can learn to tell myself “Nope, ain’t going there. I can’t control this and I’m not going to let it freak me out” I’ll lead a much healthier life.

#2 I am going to make more time for my jewelry making. It somehow got put on the back burner last year. (LOL Last year 🙂 That sounds weird) I am going to try to make sure I set aside most of the weekends to devote to my jewelry. Even if I have to barricade the door and tell hubby to fend for himself.

I already have 2 finished projects for 2011. Yeah me !! It’s something I have been wanting to try for ages. Actually 2 somethings. I’ve been seeing all these wonderful findings on Etsy. I finally bought some and they arrived New Years Eve. I topped the projects off with UV Resin, which I bought nearly a year ago and never tried. So here are pictures of my projects.

Some random thoughts
I wanted to say to all my Facebook Friends, PCC Family, ArtFire Smooshers and devoted readers, thank you for making my life fuller and more interesting. 🙂 Blogging wasn’t something I thought I could get into, but it’s been fun sharing and reading all your comments. Hope 2011 finds you all happy, healthy and prosperous.

A recent post on Facebook by one of my new friends got me thinking. It was about the infamous “giving credit” subject. While I think giving credit for someone’s techniques you may have used in your own projects in a nice thing, I don’t feel it’s mandatory. I sure don’t expect it of anyone who buys my tutorials or clear stamps. In my opinion, people who write tutorials or teach classes or make video lessons do this hoping you will use the technique and yes, perhaps even sell the things you make. I’m pretty sure they do not expect people to add a thank you note to ever item they show pictures of or list in a selling venue. That’s just silly and unnecessary. Of course, this is just my opinion, yours may very and you are entitled.

Facebook Friends Feature Artist Ariane Freisleben

I was not familiar with the work of Ariane Freisleben until I became a Facebook member. I spent a good amount of time browsing her Flickr gallery, oooohing and awwwwwing over her work. Usually I can find a piece in an artist’s collection that really screams “that’s so me” and it quickly becomes my favorite, but I had a very difficult time narrowing it down to just one of Ariane’s pieces. There were just way to many that jumped out at me.

So here are all my favorites 🙂

As you can see I seemed to gravitate towards a neutral pallet. All the better to wear it with anything in my wardrobe 🙂
