New Product Available In My Shops !!!!!

I have recently added some really fun products to my Artfire and Etsy shops. Please try shopping at my Artfire shop if you would. 🙂 It allows me to keep more $ in my pocket since they don’t charge my listing and final value fees. You don’t even need an Artfire account. Just fill your cart and checkout using PayPal. Simple as that.

You can cover them with polymer clay to create wonderful gifts or items you can resell. Take a look at my sample projects – a business card holder, a mirror purse compact and a key-chain with a pill bottle.

They started out looking like this

I also have some fabulous deals on coverables like bangle forms in gold and silver plate, the very hard to find Papermate Flexgrip Ultra pens and small oval or round mirrors if you want to make your own purse mirrors. Take a look at the bangle I made using one of the forms. BTW- it won first prize in the August contest held by the Viola web site 🙂

Which started out like this

And I covered these Flexgrip pen examples.

The pens uncovered look like this

You can also find the Greatest Clay Blades, mica powders, teeny tiny clear reflective hole-less beads, the incredible Viva Decor brand Precious Metal Color paint, Clearsnap ink pads and some Kato liquid clay.

And of course you will always find my HUGE selection of clear stamps 🙂 Here is a look a 3 of my newest designs.

Artfire Smooshers Feature Artist: Fesser Arts

Laura Fesser, the artist behind Fesser Arts, is an elementary school art teacher who has been creatively involved with something ever since she can remember. She loves getting paid to do what she loves best, playing 🙂

I find Laura’s work to be delightfully organic in feel and her carved pieces are just fabulous !!!

Check out these links to see more of Laura’s work.

Smooshers Featured Artist: Gaia Copia

I am proud to present Emily of Gaia Copia. 🙂

Her work is so jewelry unique. I guess you would put it in the mixed media category. I love that she uses the hammered, textured copper and fancy wire wrap in conjunction with the polymer clay. To me it has an funky-organic-medieval feel and I LOVE it !!!!

Smooshers Featured Artist: Vixen Jewels

One of our newer Artfire Smooshers members is Polly Dobbs of Vixen Jewels. She has a whole lot of beautiful polymer clay jewelry in her shop but these 2 are my favorites.

Hmmm, or maybe it’s these 2 🙂

Be sure to drop by Polly’s Artfire shop and take a look around.

Now for my Handmade Gift Giving Ideas.

For business/work acquaintances –  I usually bake goodies.  I make a killer pumpkin bread that uses lots of real butter. Everyone loves it and forgives me for all the extra calories. <G>

For family & friends –  my mom, my sister & I bake huge platters of different cookies, cakes and treats. My new favorite being what I call “Creamcicle” cookies.  I found the recipe for them last year on the internet.

Orange Vanilla Chip Cookies (you can cheat like I did and just put orange flavoring in ready made sugar cookie dough 🙂

  • Cooking Time: 10 to 12
  • Servings: 36
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 1 cup vanilla chips (or white chocolate chips)

For my immediate family – they get a handmade gift of something I made.  Since I make jewelry and trinkets out of polymer clay it’s a good bet that’s what they will be getting. LOL But they always appreciate the love and effort that went into the Handmade Gifts. 🙂 If you want to buy the perfect handmade gift for your loved ones try searching ArtFire.com . You’ll no doubt find that one of a kind gift for the one of a kind person.

ArtFire Group Discount – Get a Pro Account for Only$5.95 per Month

Artfire is giving us the chance to have a Pro Account for only $5.95 a month versus the usual $15.95 a month.

All we have to do is spread the word to all our friends and groups.  As a collective we need to get 20,000 people to opt in for the locked-is $5.95 a month Pro Account. I am person number 4132  to sign up 🙂 What number are you?

Artfire only charges the monthly fee, no other listing costs or final value fees like eBay and Etsy charge. This sounds really good to me ! I’m shelling out at least $30 a month to Etsy for the fees they charge on every transaction (sale) I make. Plus the listing fees.

Come on, what do you have to really lose by giving it a try for one month? Less than $6, true? You can cancel any time after your first month if you are not happy with Artfire.  I really hope this come to fruition. I am looking forward to saving some of my money so I can out it back into my business.
