The Talent of the Polymer Clay Artist Guild of Etsy

I am a member of the PCAGOE. ๐Ÿ™‚ Etsy is a great place to find handmade presents and an even better place to help support your fellow polymer clay artists. Just purchasing a gift or two from fellow artists could make all the difference for them this year.

Just a few of the items for under $25 that could make their way into a stocking or under your tree or as a Hanukkah gift.

Polymer & PMC = Perfect Pairing

I used to play around a bit with silver metal clay and I love the look of mixing the polymer clay with the fine silver. These pendants were my first try at combining the two products.

Update on Crime Hits Our Happy Clay World รขโ‚ฌโ€œ Need Your Help

Jenny Pat has given me more information on the incident. The show was called the AQS Quilt show in Des Moines Iowa. The theft happened sometime between 8PM and 9:30PM, as they were loading up their trailer after the show. The case is silver, wheeled, with locks on it, about the size of a suitcase.

In Jenny Pat’s words “I do have to say the security at the event center was very good! I really have no clue as to how this happened, they even have video camera’s in the loading dock area, but unfortunately there was nothing to help me. The angles were wrong or something. I have been working closely with the police department there.”

The theft went undetected for 2 days. The case was found to be missing when they were unpacking the trailer. Please read my previous post to get the entire story. http://tonjastreasures.com/wordpress/?p=2103
And spread the word so the thief can be caught.

Crime Hits Our Happy Clay World – Need Your Help

I just read a message from Jenny Pat of Quilted In Clay. She wanted to get the word out that she was robbed of a case of finished beads. This case had approx. 4500 clay beads in various sizes inside that case. The beads are in 4 different sizes and shapes, in 33 designs and Jenny Pat currently has them listed on her web site. Plus a number that aren’t on the website.

These shapes are 3/4″ mobius beads, 5/8″ square, 1/2″ square and 3/8″ square. All finished and drilled.

Please take a look at the beads on her website and if you spot them on Ebay, Etsy or a local beads shop PLEASE contact Jenny Pat via her website contact. This is such a horrible crime to commit to an artist ! So many hours of hard work lost, because some greedy thief thought nothing of her time, her monetary investment and stole her livelihood.

Quote from Pat “I am devastated! We are talking hours and hours of work just GONE! Some of these designs, I don’t have any cane left, so I can’t even make any more beads, unless I remake the cane. I am having to call customers and tell them I can’t sell them the items they ordered, and ask them to choose something I have on hand, or give them a refund.”

Here is a video interview with Jenny Pat that was posted on You Tube. It shows the designs she had on display. (Her interview starts at time stamp 2:33)
